Board Meeting – September 19, 2012 www.soulard.org

I) Call to Order- President Sean 7:05pm.

II) Guests

None

III) ANNOUNCEMENTS:

SRG Board will have representation at Market Lofts Happy Hour tomorrow.
Welcome Macy and Beth to the Board.
Energy Express (Gravois and Russell) reached out to Sean asking to speak about getting SRG support in their quest to get a full liquor license. Sean informed him the Board had voted against supporting it. Owner is not in attendance to speak.
Arcelia’s has signed a “good neighbor” agreement
Bill Clendenin taking over Safety Committee and Evan Bolesta taking over Business Promotion

IV) NEW BUSINESS:

Taste of St. Louis: Good shifts still available.
Lifetime Achievement Award—Tabled until next meeting
Proposed sandwich shop at 7th & Geyer: Would be built at NE corner in what is now a vacant lot.

Currently zoned multi-family and would need to be changed to commercial. Board elects to reach out to Jay Gibbs (P&Z Committee) to have them contact prospective builders.

Problems with The Darkness Haunted House: Residents and Soulard Market representatives have complained of noise and sanitation issues that are not being addressed. SRG President will reach out to involved parties for more information and possible solutions.

Online Meeting Minutes: Billy T. Motioned: Proposed General Meeting Minutes will be online at Soulard.org by the 20th of each month. They will then be voted on at the General Membership meeting the next month for approval. The approved minutes will then replace the proposed minutes on the website. Seconded by Jill W. Motion Passed.

SRG Board Minutes will be completed and submitted to the Board within 7 days of the Board meeting. The Board will then have 7 days to approve the minutes and approved minutes will be added to Soulard.org

V)OLD BUSINESS:

Denny Woods got check for $5000 towards Station loan
There will be a meeting on Station outdoor lighting Tues. 9/25 at 8p at Soulard Station
Changing the SRG’s official name to Soulard Residents Group will be brought up at next general

meeting
Oktoberfest: Received $1000 check. Full payment of monies owed by start of Oktoberfest ’12. —There will be a special SRG Board meeting Oct 10th to discuss procedure for Oktoberfest debt

Communications: Exploring mobile website/app options. Jeremy M. showed an example of a site he created. Noted SRG owns Soulard.com, which now points to Soulard.org
