December Secretary and Treasurer’s Minutes Approved

ΙΙΙ) ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Virgnia Wise, a Soulard resident, has published a book called The Dismemberment of Downtown

St. Louis 1991-2007. It is available at the Central Library in downtown St. Louis

ΙV) NEW BUSINESS:

None

V) OLD BUSINESS:

Name Change Vote: (Discussion limited to 15 min): Yes: 15 No:49 Vote Fails.

VΙ) COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Beautification: No report
Code & Zoning/Plan Review Team (PRT): Proposed sandwich shop at the corner of 7th and Geyer has been withdrawn. 1017 Geyer:Work not approved to be done on the property. No word on Farmer’s Market plans moving forward. Alderwoman Young: Money has been allocated to replace sidewalks on the north side of Lafayette from 7th to 9th.
Communications: Julie Price talked about mobile website.
Fundraising: Smarty Gras: Jan. 19 at the Franklin Room
Membership: Social at the Kurdi’s. Wrestling event to be planned for March.
Residential Promotion: No report
Safety: great response for Victim’s Support Group
Oktoberfest – No report
Soulard Special Business Tax District – No report
Soulard Station:
Mardi Gras: 12th Night Jan. 6th with Proclamation at 5p
